How about that? Eric was a Labor Day baby. Well, it seems that it slipped up on me this year, you know- being pregnant and all. I don't know about you ladies, but my man is pretty tough to shop for! Here's some of the things that made it onto my short list for potential gifts:
1. Wild Man Beard Conditioner | 2. Land's End Flannel Shirt (big & tall, of course!) | 3. Sanuk Vagabond shoes (in a massive size...) | 4. Latitude/Longitude Leather Cuff (how sweet to engrave the location where we met!) | 5. Rocky Patel "It's a Boy!" Cigars | 6. Mini Wooden iPhone Speaker | 7. Handmade OSTFOLD tablet sleeve | 8. Samsung Galaxy Note tablet computer

You know I had to include those cigars. Oh yes! What better way to announce, "IT'S A BOY!" to the world? It's a classic!
Over the weekend, I baked a small cake for Eric and we celebrated a little early. You know, just in case. We also boarded the dog with our vet, just in case. Carried my hospital bag with us every time we left the house, just in case. And let Seth sleep in the bed with us every night just in case it was our last opportunity to be all his.
The last few weeks of pregnancy are like waiting to die. That may sound crazy, but it's true. You know it's coming, but there's no knowing when. Not for real: anything can happen, even if you think you can just schedule it with your obstetrician and be done. It's a very odd feeling.
Today, we're planning to grill out with Eric's family, eat some more cake, and relax as much as possible. I hope you all have a safe and fun holiday as well!
